Math

The Robinson Middle School mathematics program is devoted to developing student knowledge and understanding of math that is rich in connections. It is problem solving based. Connections are made in different areas of mathematics. Connections are also made to other subject areas and to applications in the world outside school. In 6th Grade students study the concepts and skills associated with the understanding of numbers, the place value system, probability, statistics, and 2 dimensional measurements. In 7th Grade students further their studies with numbers, probability, statistics, and 3 dimensional measurements. 8th Grade students take a more in-depth study of the concepts and skills already mastered and expand studies with equations. Honors Algebra is an honors course designed to offer high school level work in the middle school.
